Gain the data analytics and artificial intelligence skills to get ahead in your career
Today, more data is processed faster than ever, and skilled individuals who can decipher big data and make data-driven decisions are in even greater demand. The worldwide emergence of generative AI means that employers on every continent—from IT, health care, and finance, to computer science, research, and government—are looking to utilize new skills to maximize on results.
With a master’s degree or certificate in data analytics from Tufts University, you’ll gain the marketable skills needed to gather, interpret, and make data-driven decisions in a booming field expected to grow 26% by 2028. Our top-rated program is built for the real world in close coordination with industry employers.
Choose from our four programs:
- Master of Science in Data Analytics
Become an expert in decoding data to make impactful decisions across a wide range of industries. The MS in Data Analytics is designed to develop flexible leaders with advanced data skills. You’ll be able to apply in-depth knowledge of AI, statistics, probability, and data analytics across a broad range of fields. Most students finish their master’s program in two years, but it can be completed in one year with accelerated study. Full- and part-time options are available. - Certificate in Data Analytics
The Certificate in Data Analytics includes four courses that can be taken in the evenings or online and can be completed in as little as one year. Students in this program learn to gather and interpret data to guide data-driven decisions. The certificate is perfect for those who want a data analytics credential but may not yet be ready for the full master’s program. - Spatial Data Analytics Certificate
Those interested in data science—and the technical skills needed to build and manage data systems—may want to consider a Spatial Data Analytics Certificate. Topics covered include spatial statistics analysis, machine learning (ML), modeling, and visualization, as well as advanced coding and statistical methods. Flexible options include evening and online courses, and the certificate can be completed in three to four semesters. - Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
GIS tools and data help researchers, policymakers, and community members visualize, explore, and interpret information across space. GIS knowledge empowers understanding of spatial relationships, patterns, and trends—skills in high demand across many industries. Flexible study options include evenings, weekends, and online, and the certificate can be completed in three to four semesters.
