Master’s in Mathematics
Gain the credentials, skills, and expertise to reach your career goals with Tufts University’s Master of Science in Mathematics program. Study pure or applied math, broadening your knowledge across a range of mathematical areas while also specializing your degree to fit your interests. Mathematics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate
This four-course program is for students with a bachelor’s degree (in any field) who would like to expand or deepen their mathematical skills for use in the workplace or in preparation for graduate programs in mathematics. The program is offered on campus and as an online summer term intensive.
Mathematics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate—Online Summer Term Intensive Option
Earn your mathematics post-bacc certificate this summer online. The certificate program can be completed in one summer or started in the summer and completed in the fall. Apply for fall 2026 and indicate your interest in the summer intensive on the application by May 1.

- TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores are required, if applicable.
- If admitted, confirm enrollment by April 15 for fall admission.
- The Tufts International Center issues visa document forms and offers support.
GRE General Test scores not required for applicants who will have received a degree from a U.S. or Canadian institution by the time of enrollment. GRE scores required for all other applicants.
