Get Ahead—Skip the Glide Year
Tufts is proud to offer linkage programs for the post-bacc premed program through Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, and UMass Chan Medical School for eligible applicants. A linkage program streamlines the application process and establishes a connection with a specific school, allowing you to begin the application process earlier than usual and skip the “glide year” (the year of the application cycle after taking the MCAT).

Is the Post-Bacc Premed Program Right for You?
The post-baccalaureate premedical program is for students who have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution. From the liberal arts to finance, engineering, or teaching, if your undergraduate major was not in the natural sciences, you can pivot to a career in medicine, dentistry, or other fields with a post-baccalaureate certificate. The program is designed for career changers and recent graduates who have taken three or fewer prerequisite science courses in an undergraduate program.
For college graduates who completed all undergraduate prerequisites and need to strengthen an existing science record, Tufts offers a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MBS) Degree Program. This program is based at the School of Medicine on the Boston Health Sciences Campus. If you have completed some prehealth prerequisites as part of an undergraduate program or wish to enhance a past academic record, you should look at the MBS rather than the post-bacc premed program.
